After a long time since the last update, Sony released the PSP's newest firmware: 6.60. Of course, "experts" will first exploit this firmware so it is not recommended to update to this version yet, unless you don't want to run homebrew anymore.
I am still quite confused why it jumped from 6.39 to 6.60. But anyway, one of the famous "experts" called Neur0n has been playing with it for a while now so maybe in a couple of days a custom 6.60 firmware will be available.
As usual, Sony excites us again to update to their latest firmware by giving the descriptions of 6.60:
"Minor update."Woah! That's cool!
